Vumbaca and Associates
Our firm was created when our founding partner left a well known Bay Street law firm in the 1990’s to start his own practise. His vision was to create a law firm that provides clients with all the benefits and expertise found in a large downtown law firm but in a congenial uptown setting.
We have represented some of the largest financial institutions and corporations as well as small and medium sized businesses and individuals over the years in addressing their legal needs. Our success comes from hiring talented individuals who are well versed in their practise areas and who are sympathetic to the diversity and changing needs of our clients.
We employ the latest legal technologies to ensure that we are responsive and effective in meeting our clients’ evolving needs. Our mission continues to be the same after all these years: to provide clients, big or small, with superior legal solutions in a personal and professional setting.
Angelo Vumbaca, B.A., L.L.B.
Angelo was called to the bar of Ontario in 1997. Angelo’s practice encompasses a broad spectrum of areas including corporate mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, asset and share purchases, corporate financing, commercial real estate, subdivision and land development, land assemblies, construction financing, private lending, real estate joint venture structuring, estate planning and succession planning. Angelo regularly acts on behalf of high net worth individuals, business owners, investment groups, syndicated lenders, MIC’s, real estate developers and property managers where he often works with financial and tax advisers, municipal officials, planners, surveyors, engineers and environmental consultants to assist clients with the timely completion of their projects and transactions.

Nadia Morra, B.A., J.D.
Nadia is an associate in our firm whose practice focuses on asset and share purchase transactions, corporate reorganizations, commercial leasing, estate planning and administration and all aspects of real estate including residential and commercial acquisitions and dispositions, construction financing and private lending.
Nadia articled with our firm and was hired back as an associate upon her call to the bar. Prior to joining Vumbaca and Associates, Nadia clerked as an intern for a deputy judge of the Superior Court of Justice, Small Claims Court.
Nadia was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2017. She completed her law degree at Bond University Law School in 2015. Prior to law school, Nadia attended York University where she received her Honours Bachelor of Arts (Sociology) in 2012.

Ariadna (Ari) Emerson
Senior Law Clerk
Ari joined Vumbaca and Associates in 2010 as Angelo’s law clerk. She is responsible for administering and overseeing all real estate transactions that come through our office. She is a dedicated and invaluable member of our team who ensures that our clients are treated kindly and professionally and that all transactions get completed on time.
Ari enjoys reading, dancing salsa and vacationing to exotic locales when she can.
